Life has not been so great afterall,
all because of CANCER.

Yea yea, not the horoscope cancer but the deadly CANCER.

My Cousin's husband (My bro-inlaw) has been examined to be suffering from throat cancer abt a month back & he has been undergoing Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy since.
Thankfully its only stage2.
Rather tough for the family,
their boys are only 9 and 2yrs old.
and my brother in law is only around 35yrs old.

Why is this happening to him? You know he's such a nice guy.
When I was young, I remembered how he used to play with me,
performed card tricks to make me happy.
He's such a wonderful bro-inlaw, I couldnt ask for more.

Everyone please pray for him, His name is Sean.

Recently, My goodfriend's brother just got confirmed that he is suffering from stage4 cancer.
It is not nice for me to name him or mention in details.
But He is only 16yrs old.
This is so heartbreaking.

The recent US Financial Crisis has created such a huge impact on the global economy.
The Singapore economy is slowing down and people are so pessimistic about the market that they everyone is spending lesser.

Everyone is cutting down on their spending, reducing expenditure, eating at Kopitiams, shopping at heartland malls and doing grocery shopping at wet markets.

Ive a serious lack of sleep!

So much things had happened for the past week.
Firstly, My church friend and her family (her mom and younger sister) met with an accident along North Bridge Rd last sunday.
(They've been featured on the chinese newspaper but Im not sure abt the straits time.)

Her sister had been discharged and mom is still in hospital with abrasions and a brace on her left calf.
But my friend is in ICU with internal brain bleeding and has undergone a major operation to drain the blood. She is still sedated.
People PRAY FOR HER PLEASE!
I believe that god will heal her with his mighty hands.
Shake his hands and pray for her.

Secondly, my uncle has been hospitalized yesterday as he had also met with an accident yesterday morning.
He has a dislocated joint and 2fractures.
Please pray for him too! (:

Alright I went to the Singapore Zoo today
Quite random but Tania, Guanting and Me skipped school for the Zoo
I know Mrs Pua is going to strangle us for this but I cant help it I just want to go to the Zoo

Thank god for i had a very blessed 2007.
I had my wonderful family with me showering with love every other moment when i needed it.
I had my lovely babes around in school giggling with me 24/7.
Im very contented with everything that i had had.

2007 is coming to an end now.
2008 is approaching in another mere 10hours.

Im not looking forward,
This is the first time im afraid of the new year approaching.
A new year marks a new beginning,
more challenges to face,
more changes to make,
more burdens to shoulder.

School is the main factor that im not looking forward to the new year.

Ive just gotten my new timetable.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. School is until 5pm or 6pm.
Weds and Friday school ends early around 1.30pm and 1pm,
But CCA follows till around 7pm.

1. I came back from Milos International Junior All star (Bowling tournament in KL)
- very fulfilling trip
- Ive Korean friends, Malaysian friends, Indonesian friends.

2. I went to Genting Highlands after Milos
- I went on the stupid flying coaster that almost flung me off

3. I went shopping at KL's Pavillion after Genting
- DAMN HIGH CLASS SHOPPING MALL.
- Coach, Yves Saint, Prada, Banana Republic yada yada..

4. I had my brackets installed yesterday night.
- Now im brace face (by norman)

5. School is reopening.

Ive extracted my 4wisdom teeth&another 4pre molar yesterday (:

I look horrible now.
swollen cheeks!
AND I CANT CLOSE MY MOUTH.

Afterall the operation was fine.
i was put on drip and given a smelly gas.
the next moment i opened my eyes, its already over and im resting in the recovery (:

the aftermath is tormenting because theres alot of blood,
but not much pain, quite bearable!

my mommy went with me to AH for my extraction yesterday and she made friends with people in my ward. so funny :/
she told me this aunty right, her daughter went in before you, but she only extract her wisdoms. then that boy right, he went in after you. now come out already. HAHA. my mother ahhh.

AFTERALL, IM QUITE A BRAVE GIRL I THINK (:

Dunearn's leadership camp 2007 was a blast! (:

Much thanks should be given to our Student leaders 07/08!
its a great experience being a facilitator,
contributing to the school in this particular manner.

Let me tell you what ive been through.

Day One 18th June 2007
I met up with JH at 6am in the morning.
we took an empty 188 to Dunearn
to meet up with SY.
BAR CHOR MEE for breakfast.
all time favourite!

Afterwhich, we had to walk to Home team NS (known as CDANS previously)
to report to the FIT camp chief for a briefing.
his name is AH HAO! :D

Dunearn's 07/08 Student Leaders arrived at 9am.
First was Ice breaking.
I was attached to group7, with our FIT trainer WINSOR! (:
he's a blast for the kids,
i bet i am too!

The current sec3s are all really enthu that i dont think they'll need ice breakers.
Great bunch of wanky kids.
and we had Problem solving games,

low element circuits,
night time was CANDLE WAR! AND MY GROUP DID WELL!

then came bed time but i wasnt tired,
so i went out with uncle rick at 1am for my NIGHT FOOD HUNT!
we went eunos for BAR CHOR MEE once again.
Changi village for Nasi Lemak,
Geylang for Durians,
East Coast park not for food, but for bowling. MARINE BOWL (:

Had a great food hunt,
returned to camp with a satisfied tummy at 5am.
but i wasnt satisfied in terms of sleep.
Deprived you should say.

Day Two 19th june 2007

Amazing race was the first highlight of the day,
after the horrible breakfast.

We started off at padang,
went over to old parliament house,
supreme court,
esplanade,
war memorial,
bugis junction,
arab street,
kallang.

I seriously had a fun time,
although, i wasnt really helping them with directions.
Because,
I was having SO MUCH FUNNNN playing with the walkie talkie!

after amazing race was dragon boating,
at the SDBA, Singapore dragon boat association.
Thumbs up rated team performance,
for we came in first for the race (:

However, my watch went for a swim in the sea.
and it will remain there,
because the trainer didnt manage to salvage it.

After that,
we all came back to Home team NS with wet bottoms and tops!
Hair dripping wet.
But we're all happy.
We had our campfire preparation in Home team NS.
the kids did a dance.
its great but i havent gotten a video of it.

Some internal disputes happened between the FIT trainers and the ex student leaders.
However,
everything went fine during campfire.
Ive had fun at least.
they're all so crazyyyy!

After lights out.
All ex SLs went for supper with Mr wong, Mr Rani and Mr Raymond Koh.
WE WENT FOR PRATAAAA! (:

Uncle rick came to entertain me again because he was the only one awake at this weird hour.
he came to home team NS at 2.30am!
We went CSC to play pool for the whole night.
He sent me back at 6.30am.
and i waited for the rest of the Ex Student leaders to wake up at 7am,
while the PSP kept me entertained.

so i had only 2hours of sleep for the whole 2 half days!
SUPERWOMAN!

The last day was rather EMOTIONAL.
we had our debrief.
Our sharing session.
the last few hours with the group.
AND MY HEAVY EYE BAGS! :/

&i was totally exhausted on the way home
because ive only slept a good three hours the night before.

First, i went to CHURCH.

we've our family day.

Afterwhich, i went for drum lessons at town (:

we had a hard time carrying those bulky items while fighting our PC war.

This week isnt my week.

Weds was MI Bowling Election.
I was elected the captain.
Yet, i wasnt allowed to hold on the post.
Just because,
I havent done well last year,
havent been promoted.

This made me really flare,
i started voicing all my unhappiness about the bowling team,
including coach, team bonding and useless comittee
in front of the seniors.

some were rather unhappy about it,
but i dont care.
thats fact.

MI bowling team selection is over.
Im in team one.
Will be missing GP paper because of the doubles event.

Passover meal is something that the people ate before moses led them through the splitted red sea out of eygpt.
1. the mother of the family will light the candle on the table.
2. the father will say a prayer
3. the father will pour wine in a cup and pass down the table for everyone in the family to take a sip.
4. Everyone at the tables washes their hands.
(however, during the last supper, Jesus washed feets.)
5. Hissop is served with salt water.
(Hissop is also known as bitter vegetable (for me)) :P
6. Break unleavened bread into half and eat half (middle piece).
(there are 3 pieces on the table, people will start with the middle, as the 3pieces signifys Past, Present, Future)
7. 2nd cup of win is poured and passed down the table.
(Cup of Deliverance)
8. Eats Unleavened bread again together with Hissop and Salt water (1st piece representing the past)
(this represents their hard times in the past)
9. eats 3rd piece of unleavened bread, sandwiched with hissop and a special jam(made from cinnamon)
(this signfys the promised land, full of honey and milk)
10. Share mutton with neighbours (a full lamb is the sacrifice for god)
